Quick-size buttons cover the most common needs – 1080 × 1080 for Instagram, 1920 × 1080 for HD screens, 200 × 230 for exam photos and 140 × 60 for signatures – and you can also set a maximum file size in KB so the result fits upload limits too.

How to Resize an Image in Pixels

  1. Choose your image: Click Choose image or drag and drop a JPG, PNG or WebP file.
  2. Enter the size: Pick a quick size or type a width and height. Choose the unit – pixels, percent, cm, mm or inch – and the DPI for print sizes.
  3. Set the options: Keep "Keep aspect ratio" ticked to avoid stretching, choose JPG, PNG or WebP, and optionally enter a maximum size in KB.
  4. Click Resize image: Preview the new image and download it.

Pixels, Centimetres or Inches?

Pixels are what screens and websites use. Centimetres, millimetres and inches matter for printing and for forms that describe a photo as "3.5 cm × 4.5 cm". When you use these units, the DPI decides how many pixels fit into each inch – 300 DPI is the standard for sharp prints and most government forms.

Key Features

  • Aspect ratio lock: Change one side and the other follows, so faces never look squashed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I resize an image to exact pixels?
Choose your image, type the width and height (or tap a quick size such as 1080 × 1080), and click Resize image.
How do I resize without stretching the photo?
Keep "Keep aspect ratio" ticked. Then only one side follows the number you type and the other is calculated automatically. To fill an exact shape, crop the photo first with Crop Image.
Can I resize in cm, mm or inches?
Yes. Change the unit to cm, mm or inch and set the DPI. At 300 DPI, for example, 3.5 cm becomes 413 pixels.
Can I also limit the file size?
Yes. Enter a value in "Max size (KB)" and the resized image is compressed to stay under it.
Does enlarging a small image make it sharper?
No – enlarging spreads the same detail over more pixels. For better-looking enlargements use Upscale Image.
Is Resize Image in Pixels free to use?
Yes. Resize Image in Pixels is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your files are processed directly in your web browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded or stored, and the file is gone from memory when you close the tab.
