At ShrinkBee, the privacy of our visitors is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to our main website and all its tool sites (image, PDF, audio, GIF, Base64 and bulk tools), but not to information collected offline or through other channels.

How we process your files
- Your files stay on your device. Every ShrinkBee tool runs inside your web browser. Images, PDFs, audio, video and other files you open are processed locally and are never uploaded to our servers.
- Nothing is stored. We do not keep copies of your files or results. They exist only in your browser's memory and are gone when you close or reload the tab.
- Downloads stay private. Converted or edited files are created on your device and saved directly to it.
A few tools download helper files the first time you use them: open-source libraries, fonts, text-recognition language data or background-removal models. Only the request for that file is sent, never your own file. The metadata viewer can open a photo's GPS location on OpenStreetMap, and the MP3 tag editor can look up song details on MusicBrainz and Cover Art Archive. These lookups run only when you click them, and they send only the search text or coordinates.
Information we collect
Our tools need no account, login or personal details. We only receive personal information you choose to give us, for example when you email us. Your message may then include your name, email address, the content of the message and any attachments. We use this only to reply to you.
How we use your information
The limited information we do receive is used to:
- provide, operate and maintain our website;
- improve the tools and understand how they are used;
- develop new tools, features and functionality;
- answer your questions and support requests;
- find and prevent fraud, abuse and security problems.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Log files
ShrinkBee follows the standard practice of keeping web server log files. They record visits to the website: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time, referring and exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is not linked to anything that identifies you personally. We use it to analyse trends, administer and secure the site, and diagnose problems, and we delete it regularly.
Third-party services
To load quickly, pages use open-source libraries from public content delivery networks (cdnjs, jsDelivr, unpkg) and fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads these files, the provider receives your IP address and browser details, as it would on any website. Their handling of this data is covered by their own privacy policies.
Advertising
ShrinkBee does not currently show advertising. If we add ads in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live.
Third-party privacy policies
This Privacy Policy does not apply to other websites or advertisers. Please read the privacy policies of those third parties for details of their practices and how to opt out of certain options.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Each browser's help pages explain how.
CCPA privacy rights (do not sell my personal information)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California consumers have the right to:
- ask a business that collects their personal data to disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data it has collected;
- ask a business to delete any personal data it has collected about them;
- ask a business that sells personal data not to sell theirs.

GDPR data protection rights
We want you to be fully aware of your data protection rights. Every user has the right to:
- Access: ask for copies of your personal data.
- Rectification: ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
- Erasure: ask us to erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Restrict processing: ask us to limit how we process your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Object to processing: object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Data portability: ask us to transfer the data we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Children's information
Protecting children online is important to us. We encourage parents and guardians to watch, take part in and guide their children's online activity.
ShrinkBee does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has given us this kind of information, contact us right away and we will do our best to delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
